How To Use Gathermate2 To Make More Gold!

Have you ever heard of an addon that can track where gatherable materials are in the game on your map and mini map? Well, gathermate 2 can do just that! You can use gathermate2 for all versions of the game as well. To get it simply head to these corresponding links.

How Gathermate 2 Works

Once you have the addon installed, if you want to access it’s interface. You will need to go under options in your game. Then there should be a selection at the top of the options interface to select addons. Once you are in the addons selection. You should be able to see gathermate2 there. Once that is done. You can begin messing with the settings. Before we dig to deep about how gathermate2 works. I would like to mention there is a codependent addon that works with gathermate2. In my opinion it is a must have if you plan to use gathermate2 because it shares data between the community. See without this addon it will only track what nodes you pick up. However, having gathermate2 data (the other addon) it will share all data from other users. Meaning you can have just about every node on your map and mini map. However you would have to import the data using the two addons.

In the picture above you can see I have gathermate2 selected. To get here, go to options. Then go to the addon’s selection on the top left of this interface. What you are seeing here is how the addon will track your data. I personally recommend setting everything to “Only when tracking” except treasure nodes. It is always nice to see where those are. However, there aren’t any professions that will allow you to see these nodes if you select another option.

After you are done with selecting which nodes to track through professions or always tracking. Hit the plus button on the top left of the addon where it says gathermate2. Then select the minimap option. This will bring you to the picture above. This is where you can adjust the size of the markers on both the main map and minimap. To do this you will want to mess with the map iron scale. You can also change the coloring of the circles to your liking. I normally keep all of this the same but sometimes I will mess with it.

I don’t typically mess with anything on the page above either, however, if you want to exclude some items this is the place for it. Simply uncheck the box of the items you want to leave out of the markings.

This is the most important part of the addon and the exact reason you will need gathermate2 data. You will want to import whatever you are after. Usually I just import everything. I don’t fully understand how it works but I think if you leave the “expansion data only box unmarked. You will import for every expansion.
