You will find Briarthorn near the cliffs and mountains and Mageroya close to the trees. Both of these herbs show up on the same maps. The routes will change by faction.

For horde Hillbrad Foothills is the best place to farm them. You can find them all over the hills around the Ruins of Alterac.
