Burnout’s Effects:
- Deals instant fire damage equal to 50 + (60% of your Ranged Attack Power) to the target.
- Applies a DoT effect, dealing fire damage over 10 seconds.
- Stacks up to 3 times, increasing the DoT damage each time.
Acquiring the Burnout Rune:
There are several ways to acquire the Burnout Rune, depending on your faction and preferred playstyle:
Alliance:

Elwynn Forst:
- Location: Island in Stone Cairn Lake (coordinates 77, 51)
- How to get it: Attack the Frozen Murloc with Fire spells until it melts and drops the rune.

Dun Morogh:
- Location: Gol’Bolar Quarry (coordinates 57, 24)
- How to get it: Attack the frozen Trogg with fire spells until it melts and drops the rune
Horde:
- Durotar:

- Location: East of Razor Hill, near the Razormane Grounds (coordinates 58.6, 45.6)
- Challenge: Seek out the Frozen Makrura and unleash your fiery spells upon it until it melts, revealing the coveted rune.
Additional Tips:
- Completing the quest is generally considered easier than farming the mob drops.
- The Burnout Rune can’t be traded or sold to other players.
- It can only be engraved on a Mage’s chest piece.
